Ridgefield is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a Tree City USA! 🏅

Out of 169 municipalities in Connecticut, our town is one of only 22 to earn this prestigious designation from the Arbor Day Foundation. To honor this milestone, please join First Selectperson Rudy Marconi and the Ridgefield Tree Committee for a special Celebration.

What’s Happening:
Guest Speaker: Danica Doroski, Ph.D., Urban Forestry Coordinator for the CT DEEP.
Free Trees: The Tree Committee will be distributing small trees for attendees to take home and plant!

The Tree Committee's mission is to encourage the town to commit community efforts and resources to preserving and improving our trees and greenscape. They share knowledge and advice about trees with Ridgefield residents.
Below are just a few of their many accomplishments:

• Planted 40 trees on Main Street over the past two years. More trees will be planted alongside State Highways, Town roads, and in Town of Ridgefield cemeteries.
• Achieved and maintains the Tree City status from the Arbor Day foundation.
• Maintains relationships with other tree organizations throughout the state and country.
