Registrar of Voters

A General Election will be held on Tuesday November 4, 2025

General Election Dates and Deadlines:

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: Friday Oct 17, 2025
  • Deadline for voter registration by mail to be post-marked
  • Deadline for voter registration at the DMV by close of business
  • Deadline for voter registration online by 11:59 p.m.
  • Deadline for voter registration in person by 8:00 p.m.

The Ridgefield Registrars’ Office in Town Hall will be open on October 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to register in person
(Other Town Hall offices are closed.)

There are four ways to vote:

  • In person at your polling place on Election Day
  • Early voting at Town Hall
  • By absentee ballot or
  • Same Day Registration at Town Hall on Early Voting Days and on Election Day- register and vote

ELECTION DAY- November 4, 2025 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. - vote in person at your regular polling place.

Same Day Registration (SDR)
If you are not registered, but want to vote during the Early Voting period, you may register in person every day of Early Voting at the Early Voting location (Ridgefield Town Hall). This is called Same Day Registration.

If you are not registered, but want to vote on Election Day, you may register in person on Election Day at a special Same Day Registration location (Ridgefield Town Hall.)

To register to vote in Connecticut you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be a resident of a Connecticut town.
  • Be at least 17 years of age (as long as you will turn 18 by Election Day).
  • Have completed confinement if previously convicted of a felony.

A valid and current CT DMV ID is required. Forms are also available at the Registrars of Voters Office.

Where do I Vote?

Ridgefield Voting Districts

  • District One: East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge Ave (State Senate District # 26 - State Representative District # 111)
  • District Two: Scotts Ridge Middle School, 750 North Salem Road (State Senate District # 24 - State Representative District #111)
  • District Three: Yanity Gym, 60 Prospect Street  (State Senate District # 26 - State Representative District # 111)
  • District Four: East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge Ave (State Senate District # 26 - State Representative District # 42

Voting Regulations

  • For every ELECTION and PRIMARY, polls are open from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • NO election material is allowed inside the polling place.
  • All campaigning must be done 75 feet from the polls.
  • All voting for REFERENDUMS takes place at Yanity Gym from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • All Registered Voters and Property Owners who are listed on the most recent Grand List who are at least 18 years of age and United States Citizens may vote in Referendums and Town Meetings.
