The Town of Ridgefield is seeking reliable and skilled individuals to join our Public Works Department as a Seasonal Snowplow Driver for the upcoming winter season.

Responsibilities:

• Operate town-owned truck/snowplow and sanding equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and municipal areas.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain safe work practices and follow all town and state regulations.
• Respond promptly to snow and ice conditions as directed by the Highway Department.

Requirements:

• Valid Connecticut Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B with air brake endorsement preferred.
• Prior experience operating snowplow or heavy-duty equipment required.
• Availability for emergency call-ins during winter weather events.
• Ability to work independently and in challenging weather conditions.

On-call: including nights, weekends, and holidays as weather conditions require
Pay Rate: $31/hour
