Jason Celestino
Jason was born and raised in Ridgefield. He attended Scotland Elementary School and East Ridge Middle School, and graduated from Ridgefield High School. While in high school, he worked at the Ridgefield Golf Course as a cart and range attendant. Since he was a young child, Jason has been interested in construction and decided to pursue it as a career after graduating high school. He began working in various trades and eventually attended Central Connecticut State University in the evenings, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. After completing his degree, he worked as a project superintendent for one of the largest construction firms in the nation. In that role, he oversaw many large-scale commercial projects in various locales and states. Jason eventually returned to this area and was employed by a local custom home builder, where he worked for more than ten years overseeing the construction of new homes and renovations around town.
In 2015, Jason was hired as the Assistant Building Official, working under Bill Reynolds. When Bill retired Jason took over as the Chief Building Official for Ridgefield.
